A very original way to get to Montjuïc mountain from the port is by crossing it while suspended in the air in modern cable-car cabins that connect several towers and offer panoramic views of the city centre.
You'll also find a great restaurant at the Sant Sebastià Tower. It's a great experience, not to be missed!
The cable car system, which was built on the occasion of the 1929 Universal Exhibition in Barcelona, offers a different, bird's eye, view of the city, whilst also providing an original urban transport service linking two sites historically related to each other: Mount Montjuïc and the Port of Barcelona. The cable car runs from the station beside the Costa i Llobera Gardens on Mount Montjuïc to the Sant Sebastià Tower and back, stopping midway at the Jaume I Tower (adjoining the World Trade Center Barcelona).
Discover the delights of Montjuïc mountain, a symbolic site replete with history. Visit its parks and enjoy the unequalled views over the city of Barcelona.
